For Mothers And Daughters

WATERBURY — During the month of May, The Be Well Center of Waterbury Hospital, located at the Brass Mill Center mall in Waterbury, teams up with JC Penney to encourage mothers and daughters to have their mammograms together.

“May is the month we celebrate our mothers and all that they have taught us,” said Sheila Hogan, director of marketing and community relations at Waterbury Hospital. “One of the things we teach our daughters is the importance of taking care of themselves. We’re encouraging mothers and daughters to put that knowledge into action by having their mammograms together at The Be Well Center during May.”

Mothers and daughters who take advantage of having their exams done at the same time will receive a gift certificate for 15 percent off any salon services offered at JC Penney. Salon services included in the special are hair styling or treatments, make up consultations, manicures, and pedicures.

Mothers and daughters who have their mammograms the week before Mother’s Day (May 8-13) will also each receive a gift certificate for a complimentary manicure in the JC Penney salon.

All women who have their mammograms at The Be Well Center during May will automatically be entered in a raffle for a JC Penney hair and nail products gift basket.

The Be Well Center provides screening mammograms six days a week. Hours for mammography are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 8 pm, and Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm. Walk-ins are welcome, or an appointment may be made in advance. A prescription is not required at the time of your exam; however, you must have a personal doctor to whom we can send your exam results. For more information, call The Be Well Center at 203/575-0703.
