NCC Planning A Marketplace Fair
Newtown Congregational Church will host a Marketplace Fair from 10 am to 3 pm Saturday, May 3, in the church Great Room, 14 West Street in Newtown.
The special event will feature handmade jewelry, embracelets designed by Patty Sullivan, and artwork by David Merrill.
Many favorite home party demonstrators will showcase their products, offer items for sale, talk about their products, and book parties. Some of the demonstrators who will be represented include Longaberger Baskets, Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, and Tom Boy Tools.
Also available will be handcrafted home décor and gift items made by artisans from more than 20 countries. Items will be provided by A Greater Gift, a nonprofit program of SERRV International, which works in the countries to enable artisans and farmers to gain access to markets and maintain sustainable income.
Finally, the church will host a raffle that will include items from all the demonstrators.
Admission to the event is free and the church is handicapped accessible.
