Jeffery Harl Clampitt

Former Newtown Resident

Jeffery Harl Clampitt, 46, of Chattanooga, Tenn., died unexpectedly April 26. Mr Clampitt lived in Newtown for 18 years and was a graduate of Newtown High School.

He is survived by a daughter, Amanda Clampitt of Strawberry Plains, Tenn., and her mother, Laurie Licare; his father, Dr William Clampitt and stepmother, Elaine Clampitt, of Jefferson City, Tenn.; and two brothers, Brian Clampitt and his wife, Mary Anne, of Carmel, N.Y., and Robert Clampitt of Grandville, Vt. His mother, Rosetta Clampitt, predeceased him.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, May 4, at 3 pm, at the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel, Jefferson City, Tenn. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 pm, prior to the service.
