Gregory R. Johnson, 61, of Chadds Ford, Penn., died April 30, surrounded by his family at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester, Penn. Born in Stamford, he was the son of the late Raymond and Jean Donegan Johnson. He was the husband of Maureen Carroll Johnson, with whom he shared 37 years of marriage.

Mr Johnson was president of Kendro Laboratory Products (formerly a division of DuPont Medical Products) in Newtown, and retired in 2002 after 34 years of service.

He was a member of St Joseph on the Brandywine Church in Wilmington, Del. He was a Civil War enthusiast who enjoyed reading, golfing, vacationing at Cape Cod and Lake George, and being with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Gregg Johnson and his fiancée, Nicole Palita, of Kennett Square, Penn. and Brad Johnson and his wife, Danielle, of New London, Penn; a daughter, Erin Johnson of Boston; a brother, Jeff Johnson of Bridgeport; a sister, Donna Hansen of Ivoryton; and four grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday, May 3, at St Joseph on the Brandywine Church, 10 Old Church Road, Wilmington DE 19807. Family and friends may call from 10:30 to11 am at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Contributions may be made in Mr Johnson’s memory to Neighborhood Hospice, Inpatient Unit, 400 East Marshall Street, West Chester PA 19380-4412.
