Begins This Weekend
Town Players will open their 2003 season with Neil Simonâs comedy Barefoot In The Park at The Little Theatre, Orchard Hill Road in Newtown, on Friday, May 2. Performances will be given May 2-24 on Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 pm. There will be one Sunday matinee performance at 2 pm on May 18.
The cast includes Becky Rodia Schoenbeld in the lead role of Corie Bratter; Suzanne Kinnear as her mother, Mrs Ethel Banks; Louis Provenzano as Corieâs husband, Paul Bratter; Steve Hoose as the telephone repairman; Daniel J. Mulvihill, as Victor Velasco, the upstairs neighbor; and Gene W. Comerford, Jr and Paul Aiello.
The play is being produced by Suzanne and Larry Kinnear who with Adam Sussman are responsible for the fine set. It is being directed by Evelyne M. Thomas, and the lighting design is by Rob Pawlikowski.
The seating capacity of The Little Theatre is more limited than ever now that proper theater seats have been installed. Reservations are being suggested to avoid disappointment, as the shows get sold out quickly.
