Michael Srogie

Michael Srogie, 80, of Newtown and formerly of Trumbull, the beloved husband of the late Judith (Esposito) Srogie, died on April 23 at St Mary’s Home, West Hartford.

Mr Srogie was a retired employee of the United Illuminating Company and a US Army veteran of World War II.

Born in Bridgeport on September 13, 1923, he was the son of the late George and Mary (Drabik) Srogie, and was a Trumbull resident for 50 years.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held April 29 in Parente Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, and in St Margaret’s Shrine, Park Avenue, Bridgeport. Interment was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
