Lake Patrols

To Begin

The Lake Zoar Authority is gearing up for another boating season.

Meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month at 7:30 pm at the Southbury Town Hall. Meetings are open to anyone who would like to attend.

The board is composed of members from towns that border the lake. There currently are openings for representatives from Monroe.

The authority is responsible for the areas of water quality, police patrol, weed harvesting, and boating safety. Police patrols will start on May 17.

The Coast Guard Auxiliary also is present at authority meetings to answer questions.
