‘Immersion’ Performer Will Play

At Gunn Library

WASHINGTON — Gunn Memorial Library will host a musical evening on Tuesday, May 15, at 7 pm. Sharon Ruchman will sing songs from her latest CD Immersion as she gives voice to the hopes, fears and dreams of her generation in a unique style, blending elements of blues, jazz, folk and soft rock.

Ms Ruchman received her BA from the New England Conservatory of Music and her master’s from Yale School of Music. Her professional interests include piano, voice, cello and composition.

She has been a piano accompanist at the New England Conservatory of Music and Yale School of Music and an alto soloist with Yale Glee Club, New Haven Chorale, New England Conservatory and with St John’s Chorale in Washington.

She has also published songs and performed at local benefit performances. She has performed at a new artist’s showcase being presented by Country Players of Brookfield and is presently concentrating on songwriting.

The program is free and open to the public. The library is at the juncture of Wykeham Road and Route 47 in Washington. Call the library for further information at 860-868-7586.
