Frank C. Plaskawicki
Frank C. Plaskawicki (Plaski), 84, of the Lordship section of Stratford, devoted husband of Marianna (Szczena) Plaskawicki, died May 1 at his home.
He is survived by a daughter, Barbara Bernier and her husband, James, of Newtown.
Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Kazimierz and Teofilia (Radkewicz) Plaskawicki. A Bridgeport/Stratford resident all his life, he was a former employee of Singer Corporation, where he worked for 28 years, and had been the proprietor of Plaski Package Store for more than 25 years. Mr Plaskawicki was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army, and was past president of the White Eagles Polish Club and White Eagles Society Group 315, where he held the position for more than 15 years. He was manager of the White Eagles Senior City League and baseball team for many years.
Survivors, in addition to his wife and daughter, are two other children, Ania Amoros of Milford, and Kazimierz Plaskawicki of Stratford; and three grandchildren, Rebecca-Ann, Michael-Francis, and Alicia Marianna Carrafiello.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 4, at 9 am, in St Michael the Archangel Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Immediately following, full military graveside services will take place in St Michaelâs Cemetery, Stratford.
 Calling hours were scheduled on Thursday, from 5 to 8 pm in the Frank M. Radozycki and Sons Funeral Home, 305 Pulaski Street, Bridgeport (directly across from St Michael Church).
