Program On Lyme Disease

WATERBURY — Do you worry about ticks while gardening or even walking barefoot in your back yard? Ticks are particularly problematic in Connecticut; Lyme disease is becoming increasingly prevalent.

Jane Cooper, MD, director of the Comprehensive Center for Arthritis at Waterbury Hospital, and Kirby Stafford, PhD, chief scientist and entomologist from the Connecticut Agricultural Experimental Station, will talk about ticks and tick control, as well as the signs, symptoms, prevention, and treatment of Lyme disease, at a 6:30 pm program May 17 in the Bizzozero Conference Room at Waterbury Hospital.

For more information or to register, call 203/573-6257.
