How would you describe your occupation? I’m a preschool teacher at Wesley Learning Center in town and I run birthday parties and day camps for the NYA Sports & Fitness, and am a substitute teacher in the district. I can honestly describe them all as fun and rewarding.

Who is in your family? My husband Phil and our four children, Cammie, Vivie, PJ and Cece.

Do you have any pets? We just adopted the sweetest kitty named Trixie.

How long have you lived/worked in Newtown? Coming up on 8 years

What do you like to do in your free time? I don’t have free time, I have kids, so mostly I just drive to activities.

What activities are your kids in? My 14-year-old just finished her first season of dive for Shepaug Valley High School (she’s in their Agriscience program) and plays softball for Rhode Island Thunder Gold — CTS, My 11-year-old rides BMX at Bethel BMX, Roller Derby at Roller Magic in Waterbury, and competes in Newtown Color Guard. My 8-year-old does American Ninja Warrior style Ninja competitions through Ninja Mania in Danbury and my 5-year-old is testing the waters of dance at The Station Dance Academy.

What is your favorite book? Memoirs of an Imaginary Friend by Matthew Dicks or anything by Mitch Albom.

Who is your favorite musical artist? Tim McGraw.

What is something you cannot live without? Chocolate chip cookies.

What is your proudest accomplishment? Running the NYC Marathon.

What is your favorite travel destination? The Badlands National Park in South Dakota.

What is the best part about Newtown? The small town feel and family-centered activities.

What is your favorite color? Pink or teal.

What is the most recent movie you’ve gone to see in theaters? Trolls Band Together at Edmond Town Hall (did I mention I have kids?)

What is your pet peeve? Unkind people.

What would you like The Newtown Bee to cover in the future? Junior varsity Color Guard competitions.
