NEW YORK CITY â Art historian Anne Van Buren will deliver three illustrated talks sponsored by The Morgan Library & Museumâs prestigious Franklin Jasper Wall Lecture Fund. These lectures are the result of more than 25 years of research on medieval illuminated manuscripts, sculpture and panel painting. Van Burenâs study is the subject of forthcoming Morgan exhibition and publication.
âThe Role of Dress in Societyâ will be presented Thursday, May 15, at 6:30 pm.; âDid they Wear What We See?â will be Thursday, May 22, 6:30 pm; and âThe Function of Dress in Art,â is Thursday, May 29, 6:30 pm.
