Volunteer Center Auction May 6

DANBURY — The Volunteer Center serving Western Connecticut will hold its annual auction on Thursday, May 6, at Anthony’s Lake Club on West Kenosia Avenue.

Doors open for preview and silent auction at 5 pm. Live auction bidding begins at 7 pm under the leadership of veteran auctioneer Don Arsenault.

The 18th annual benefit auction features such items as UConn Huskies basketball tickets, box seats for a Mets or Yankees game, concert and theater tickets, gourmet meals, overnight getaways, and goodie baskets for Mother’s Day. There also will be door prizes and raffle packages.

The Volunteer Center connects people with volunteer opportunities and provides education and training to support nonprofit organizations.

Admission to the auction is free but space is limited and reservations are requested. A $15 buffet dinner and cash bar will be available. For reservations and more information, call the Volunteer Center at 797-1154.
