Sharon M. Lipofsky
Sharon M. Lipofsky
Sharon M. Lipofsky, 66, of Monroe, died on April 24. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend, excelling in all three categories.
Born and raised in Kansas City, Mo., she married in 1960, and had the courage to go with her husband to New England to set up a new home and make new friends. She resided in the Boston suburbs for a while, then moved to Monroe, where she lived for the past 30 years.
She has taught ceramic classes in Monroe and had been a longtime member of the Rocking Rooster Square Dance Club of Newtown.
For the past 20 years she has enjoyed putting her talents to work making handmade crafts and selling them at festivals and fundraisers throughout Connecticut. She was a true and honest person who spent too short a time with those of us who loved her.
She will be sorely missed by Norm, her husband of 44 years, her children and their spouses, John and Karen Lipofsky of Sabattus, Maine, Tina Mingolello and Brian Lipofsky, both of Monroe, her grandchildren and their spouses; Stephanie and Dan Mellen, Rachel and Joe Andrews, Christie Lipofsky, Jesse Lipofsky, Jennifer Mingolello, and her very dear friends who brightened her days on this earth immeasurably.
Sharon also leaves a loving sister and brother-in-law, Yvonne and Ralph Sangosti of Clifton, Colo.; an aunt, Alvina Frederitzi of St Louis, Mo., and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Edie Caskey, and a sister, Dolores Hawkins.
Services were held from The Abraham L Green and Son Funeral Home, 88 Beach Road, in Fairfield. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of oneâs choice.
