Jen Omasta Leads Nonnewaug Softball

Pitcher Jen Omasta of Newtown has led the Nonnewaug High School softball team to a 4-0 record,.

She put together a nifty two-hitter in a 3-1 win over Terryville, a three-hitter in a 13-1 win over Wamogo, and a two-hitter in a 6-2 win over Thomaston.

Omasta struck out a total of 28 batters in the three games.
