Come to our 17th annual Kite Flying Contest on Sunday, May 2, at 12 noon on Ram’s Pasture. Judging will take place around 12:30 pm. The categories will be Highest Flying, Most Colorful, Best Kite flyer, Smallest Kite that flies, Best Homemade Kite, Most Unusual, Largest Kite and Longest Kite. Come join the fun.

Day Camp mail in registration happening now for Dickinson and Treadwell Parks.

Middle School Camp registration is happening now, come join this three week camp of FUN. This all inclusive camp fee includes admission and transportation for all trips to, for an example, Bridgeport Blue fish game, Big Daddy’s Racing Dragsters, Extreme Paintball and more. There is still room in our Sports Camps; choose from Basketball, Karate, Baseball, Tennis, Lacrosse, Golf, Softball, Field Hockey, Dance Camp, Soccer and Horse Camp.

Registration for the age group swim team, the Newtown Torpedoes, is going on now. Fee is $80 for the first, $70 for second child, and $65 for each additional child. Seasons begins on June 28 and runs for six weeks. The parent meeting is June 14, at 7:30 pm, in the Booth Library meeting room. This is not swim lessons, but competitive swimming.

The 30th annual Rooster Run/Walk will be held Saturday, June 5. Pre-registration is $12 and $15 the day of the race. Registration is happening now.
