Richard R. King

Richard R. King, 66, husband of the late Joan (Boltone) King, of 19 Longview Heights Road, Newtown, died April 27 at Danbury Hospital.

Mr King was born in Norwalk on July 6, 1934, a son of the late William and Virginia (Gillies) King.

Mr King was employed for over 22 years as an insurance agent for the John Hancock Life Insurance Company. For many years he was a starter at the Ridgefield Golf Course. During the Korean War, Mr King served in the US Marine Corps as a corporal.

He is survived by one son, Richard R. King of Wingdale, N.Y.; two daughters, Susan King and Nancy King, both of Danbury; one brother, William King of Palm Desert, Calif.; one sister, Barbara Ross of Ia.; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, on May 3. Interment was in St Rose Cemetery, Newtown.
