Regional Medal Winners

Twenty-one students from Porco’s Karate Academy in Newtown participated in the annual Regional Tournament held April 8 and 9 in Oxford. A special clinic was held on Friday evening with Grandmaster Shin, personal trainer for Chuck Norris and head of the World Tang Soo Do Association. An all-day competition with Weapons, Sparring and Forms took place on Saturday. Medal winners included Jason Howell, David Matthews, Patrick Rowley, Mitchell Wiemann, Eric Ralston, Alan Shwartz, Amelia Shwartz, Jason LaMonte, Aria Brownell, Phil Rodriguez, Wendelyn Nelson, Logan Mammen and Timothy Mammen.
