NHS Lists Scholarships

Information and applications for the following scholarships is available at the Career Center at Newtown High School:

Newtown Bridle Lands Association 2005 Memorial Scholarship — In memory of Linda Souza, NBLA is offering a $500 scholarship to a graduating high school senior from Newtown High School or The Ellis Clark Regional Agri-Science and Technical Center who is a resident of Newtown or has a parent or guardian who is a current member of NBLA. The applicant must also be accepted to a post-high school program leading to a degree in equine science, veterinary science or the environmental sciences including agriculture, animal husbandry, ecological studies, or forestry. The deadline to submit an application is May 6.

Tylenol Scholarship 2005 — Students who plan to enroll full time in a health-related course of study at an accredited postsecondary school are eligible to apply for this national scholarship program. Scholarship recipients will be selected on the basis of the number, length of commitment, and quality of leadership responsibilities in community activities and school activities, awards and honors, a clear statement of education and career goals and academic record. Newtown High School Choral Parents Scholarship — A college scholarship(s) will be awarded by the Scholarship Committee of the Newtown High School Choral Parents group. Interested seniors should complete the application and return it to Mr Harned by May 13.
