Motorist Jose Briceno, 33, of Bridgeport, who was driving a commercial courier’s 1998 Chevrolet Astrovan southward on South Main Street about 10 am April 26, stopped for a traffic signal at South Main Street’s intersection with Wasserman Way, police said.

 Motorist Umberto Cassinelli, 81, of 77 St George’s Place, who was driving a 2003 Toyota Camry sedan, then turned out from Country Club Road to head southward on South Main Street, striking   the rear end of the Chevrolet, police said.

There were no injuries. Police issued Cassinelli a written warning for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.

Credit Card

Police report they arrested Timothy Stuart, 19, of 3 Sutherland Drive on a warrant on the night of April 26, lodging charges of illegal use of a credit card and sixth degree larceny.

Police said the charges stem from an investigation into a complaint that they received in late 2004. After processing the arrest, police released Stuart on a promise to appear May 17 in Danbury Superior Court for arraignment on the charges.
