Gary Erwin Samuelson, 55, a resident of Weston for most of his life, died April 22 in Danbury Hospital as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident earlier that day. Mr Samuelson was born in Norwalk on October 15, 1950, a son of Jeanette Hallock Euler of Danbury and the late Erwin L. Samuelson.

In addition to his mother, survivors include five sisters, Tarol Samuelson-Alvarado of Newtown, Karen Dobson of New Milford, Janice Samuelson of Florida, Dhyann Samuelson of Redding, and Patti Samuelson-Moore of New Preston; his two children, Jake Samuelson, who is currently serving in the US Navy, and Grace Samuelson of Weston; and many nieces and nephews.

He was self-employed in the construction business specializing in 18th Century restorations. Mr Samuelson had a tremendous interest in the history of early Weston, Redding and the Georgetown area and possessed a great deal of literature and photos from that era. He restored antique furniture, including tables at the Weston Town Hall, and was a member of the Weston Historical Society.
