More than 25 members of Porcoâs Karate Academy on Church Hill Road in Sandy Hook recently competed in their regional tournament.
The World Tang Soo Do Association has 21 regions encompassing the world, each with an annual tournament. Well over 250 competitors entered the competition coming from all areas of New England, including Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut and New York.
Competitors ranged in ages from 3 to 65 years of age. Competitors could enter three events, which included forms, weapons and sparring divisions. The entire event was attended by Grandmaster Jae C. Shin from Philadelphia and numerous other Masters located throughout the region.
