Lead Guitarist For Local Bands

Frank Lake, 50, of Waterbury, formerly of Newtown, died April 21 in Yale-New Haven Hospital.

He was born in the Bronx, N.Y., on November 21, 1955, son of Mae (Nigri) Lake of Waterbury and the late Ross Lake. Mr Lake was raised and educated in Newtown. He was the lead guitarist for local bands including Voices, Future Tense, and Whiplash.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Donna Lake, and niece Nikki, of Brookfield; and his sister, Patti Lake, and niece Gianna, of Plainville; and a daughter, Alexis.

Funeral services were held April 25 in the Honan Funeral Home, Newtown. Interment in St Rose Cemetery will be private.
