Families Wanted To Host

Exchange Students

Being a host family for an international student not only grants a cultural experience for a local family but also provides a service for Newtown High School and the community.

For 57 years the American Field Service high school student exchange program has welcomed young people from other countries to live and study in the United States as well as sponsor youth from Newtown to study abroad.

To make this intercultural program succeed a host family is needed. The qualifications are to live in the Newtown school district and to provide and nurture the exchange student.
