DEA Drug Disposal Event At Police Station, April 28
The US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), in cooperation with town police, will sponsor a collection event for unwanted prescription drugs at the police station at 3 Main Street, from 10 am to 2 pm, on Saturday, April 28.
The session will allow members of the public to prevent pill abuse and pill theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription medications.
Only pills and patches will be accepted at the collection, not liquids, or needles, or sharps. The service is free and anonymous, with no questions asked, according to DEA.
Besides such periodic drug collection events that are held by the DEA, the police station lobby has a secure receptacle where residents may dispose of unwanted prescription medications, seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
