Newtown High School's girls' golf team defeated Immaculate of Danbury 189-253 at Redding County Club on April 19. Sarah Houle shot a 39, Camryn Findley 51, Casey Muckell 49, and Kayla Ward 50.

The NHS boys fell 184-190 to Immaculate at Richter in Danbury, on April 19. Mike Meyer shot a 46, Ryan Patrick 49, David Brestovansky 48, Ryan Kost 49, James Ruggiero 47, and Tim Davis 46.

Newtown's boys' squad bounced back with a 181-190 victory over Bethel at Redding Country Club the next afternoon. Meyer and Brestovansky led the way, each shooting a 45, Patrick had a 48, Davis 53, Ruggiero 43, and Kost 46.

The boys beat New Milford 173-201 at Candlewood Valley Country Club on April 24. Meyer shot a 41, Patrick 53, Brestovansky 39, Kost 52, Ruggiero 41, and Marc Carlson 49.
