Free Blood Pressure Screening

Danbury Visiting Nurse Association is sponsoring a free blood pressure/stroke screening in Newtown in May as part of National Stroke Awareness Month.

According to the American Heart Association, stroke is the third leading cause of death in the United States, claiming about 145,000 lives a year. Educate yourself about the signs and symptoms of brain attack warnings.

This screening will take place on Thursday, May 10, from 1 to 2 pm, at Newtown Senior Center on Riverside Road. The screenings are held on the second Tuesday of each month in the same location. Call Danbury Visiting Nurse Association for more information at 792-4120.
