Avancè Day Spa and AIR Gallery have partnered to present “Spring Is In The Air,” a colorful show in the tranquil and gracious spa setting of Avancè, within Sand Hill Plaza at 228 South Main Street.

The collection is on view until May 11, with works by featured artists Vibeke Dressler, Heidrun Morgan, Joan Pollak, Joanne Miller Rafferty and Laura Wilk.

Though each artist uses a different medium to create their signature art, they each invite the viewer to discover and enjoy their portrayals of the beauty that is all around us.

The art work menu offerings include watercolor, collage, colored pencil graphics, driftwood sculpture, and glass art. Extra helpings of iridescence, saturated bold color, charm, surprise and laughter round out the pleasurable experience this show delivers, according to AIR Curator Rosemary Rau.

The public is invited to view the exhibition any time the spa is open: Tuesdays, 11 am to 6 pm; Wednesdays, 10 am to 6 pm; Thursdays, 11 am to 6 pm; Fridays, 9 am to 6 pm; and Saturdays, 9 am to 5 pm.

In addition, a special afternoon celebration is being planned for Sunday, May 3. From 2 to 4 pm, Avancé will host its annual spring open house. The public is invited to stop in to view the exhibition, enjoy complimentary chair massages, and receive a spa products gift bag. The spa will also be offering discounted gift cards.

There will also be refreshments, from champagne and desserts to Tastefully Simple goodies, and fresh juices from the just-opened Juice Smash.

Also, local musician Jim Allyn will be performing during the special event. All are welcome.

For additional information Avancé Day Spa can be reached by calling 203-270-8911.

“Adventure,” a mixed media work by Joanne Miller Rafferty, is among the works on view in the current exhibition at Avance Esthetiques Day Spa. The public is invited to an open house/reception on Sunday, May 3, from 2 to 4 pm.
