Main St. Theater To Host Summer Workshops

WOODBURY — Main Street Theater Co. will host two summer workshops.

Session 1 will be for children ages 7 to 12 and will run June 19 to July 2. The workshop will focus on acting and set design for the play Anne Of Green Gables. There will be two performances at the end of the two-week session.

Session 2 will be for those students entering sixth grade through twelfth grade and will run July 14-25. Bye Bye Birdie will be the focus of this workshop.

Auditions for lead roles will take place Wednesday, May 14, from 4:30 to 6:30 pm, and also Sunday, May 18, from 5 to 7 pm. Sign up for audition times at the theater.

There will be six performances: Fridays through Sundays, July 25-27 and August 1-3.

To participate in either of the performances, students must participate in the appropriate workshop. The auditions, workshops and performances will all be held at Main Street Theater, 124 South Pomperaug Ave in Woodbury. Call 203-263-7618 to sign up for either workshop or for audition times.
