Diabetes Program At St Vincent’s

BRIDGEPORT — “LifeSkills,” an educational program for people with diabetes, is being offered by St Vincent’s Medical Center in a series of four consecutive two-hour classes.

The session will run from 6:30 to 8:30 pm on April 30, May 7, 14, and 21, and will be held in the Hawley 3 Conference Room of St Vincent’s Medical Center.

“LifeSkills” helps people with diabetes become self-efficient in the daily management of their disease. The course presents information and teaches skills to improve quality of life and help people with diabetes avoid many of the complications commonly associated with the disease. Controlling diabetes is the key to preventing or reducing complications.

The fee of $30 includes a personal workbook. Financial assistance is available.
