Robert Fields, 91, of Sandy Hook and New York City, a retired registered nurse, singer, and actor, died April 21 at Danbury Hospital. He was born in Spring Valley, N.Y., December 26, 1922, son of Molly  (Glazer) and Samuel Feldstein. He was the husband of Mary (Kaplun) Brown Fields.

He was a US World War II veteran serving with the Army Air Force in Panama.

Mr Fields attended New York schools and after raising his children, returned to college and graduated with a degree in nursing. After years of practice as a registered nurse, Mr Fields then entered the entertainment world as a singer and actor.

In addition to his wife, two sons, Jeffrey Feldstein and Bradley Feldstein; a daughter, Nancy Lloyd; a sister, Millie Renert; two brothers, Sol Feldstein and Jerry Feldstein; and several nieces and nephews survive Mr Fields.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, April 24, at 11 am, in Temple Shearith Israel, 46 Peaceable Street, Ridgefield, with Rabbi David Reiner officiating. Interment will be private and will take place at the direction of the family.
