Domingos Cabeleira

Domingos Cabeleira, 79, of Bridgeport, a retired employee with the Automatic Plating Company of Bridgeport, died April 22 in Bridgeport Hospital.

He was the father of Mario Cabeleira and Domingos Cabeleira of Newtown.

Born in Ludlow, Mass., on June 16, 1921, he was the son of the late Jose and Virginia (Fernandes) Cabeleira and a Bridgeport  resident for 31 years.

Mr Cabeleira was the widower of Maria (Sanches) Cabeleira.

Survivors also include three other sons, Manual Cabeleira of Bridgeport, Jose Cabeleira of Shelton, and Joaquim Cabeleira of Portugal; five daughters, Aldina Cabeleira of France, Luisa Cabeleira, Ann Cabeleira, Albertina Cabeleira and Erminia Cabeleira, all of Portugal; two sisters, Luisa Cristino of Stratford and Ana Pires of Bridgeport; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Alfredo and Antonio Cabeleira.

The funeral was held on April 25 in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, and in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Bridgeport, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Aldeia Nova, Montalegre, Portugal.
