*Motherâs Day Workshop: Children ages 6 and up are invited to join Marie Walker on Saturday, May 1, for a Motherâs Day Craft Workshop. The workshop will meet from 1 to 2 pm and is limited to the first 15 children who sign up.
A $3 materials fee is due upon registration.
*Summer Creative Writing: Attention rising eighth and ninth graders â Creative Writing Summer Camp has room for you. Local author and educator Joan Verniero will host the camp designed to foster a love of reading and writing, assisted by volunteers from the libraryâs adult creative writing groups.
Camp will meet on Thursdays, July 1, 8, 15, 29, and August 5, from 2 to 4 pm. Space is limited to 10 students for those who will be entering grades 8 and 9 in the fall.
(A morning session for rising grades 6 & 7 is full.)

*WOW Celebrates Italy: Young adults can join the libraryâs participation in World of Words: Italy programs during April with another program geared for you.
A book discussion for readers in grades 5-8 will be held on Wednesday, April 28. All young readers are invited to talk about The Thief Lord by Cornelia Funke. Join us from 4:30 to 5:30 for a lively discussion about a gang of homeless children in Venice and their mysterious leader who calls himself Thief Lord. Is he really who he seems to be?

Adult Programs
*Book Groups: There are lots of ongoing book clubs that meet at the library each month. Classics, mysteries, history, plays, popular fiction, great literature⦠what do you like to read? Newcomers are always welcome.
Upcoming discussions will include Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco on Thursday, April 29, at 7:30 pm; The Greatest Generation by Tom Brokaw on Tuesday, May 4, at 1 pm; The Debut by Anita Brookner on Monday, May 10, at 1 pm; and Five Quarters of An Orange by Joanne Harris on Thursday, May 20, at 7:30 pm.
*Author Talks: Three authors will be visiting the library during May. Programs are scheduled for Thursday, May 13, at 7:30 pm, with Wally Wood; Sunday, May 16, at 3 pm, with Norah Pollard (a poetry reading); and Tuesday, May 18, at 7 pm, with Justin Scott. Mr Scottâs program was rescheduled from March, when a snowstorm forced a postponement.
