S. Joseph Gallo

S. Joseph Gallo, 84, formerly of Nunnawauk Meadows, Newtown, died April 14, in Ashlar of Newtown. Mr Gallo was the husband of the late Angelina (Tomanelli) Gallo.

He was born in Tuckahoe, N.Y., on April 15, 1919, a son of the late Joseph and Giovanna Gallo. Mr Gallo served in the US Army during World War II.

Before retirement, he was the longtime head of the Appliance Repair Department at Henry Abbott Technical School. He was a graduate of Central Connecticut State University.

Mr Gallo was a resident of Newtown for over 40 years, and for most of the time resided on Appleblossom Lane before living at Nunnawauk Meadows.

He is survived by three sons, Joseph A. Gallo and his wife Karen of Westminister, Colo., Lawrence F. Gallo and his wife Christine of Woodbury, and Steven C. Gallo and his wife Tracy of Madison, Wis.; a sister, Josephine DiPace of Wilmington, Del.; and two grandchildren, Joshua and Angela Gallo of Westminster, Colo.

Funeral Services were held April 20 from the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, with a Mass of Christian Burial at St Rose of Lima Church, Newtown.

Interment will be in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, New Rochelle, N.Y.
