Key Rock Damage

Sometime between 6:45 and 8 am on April 19, someone who was driving a red vehicle damaged a curbside mailbox positioned at 43 Key Rock Road, police said. Police are investigating and ask anyone with information on the matter to contact them at 426-5841 or 270-8888.

Motorcycle Mishap

Motorcyclist Gerrit Veerman III, 26, of Fairfield was driving a 2004 Yamaha westward on Mt Pleasant Road about 1:24 pm April 18, when an unidentified noncontact vehicle that was traveling westward in front of Veerman stopped to make a left turn onto Old Bethel Road, police said.

Veerman lost control of the motorcycle and then put down the motorcycle on the pavement, police said. Veerman received arm and knee scrapes, police said.

Police issued Veerman a written warning for following too closely.
