The Newtown Forest Association would like to thank the management and employees of Eversource for the Day of Service they provided to us. On a foggy, misty morning last week, 28 hearty Eversource souls from all over the state converged on the much-beloved Nettleton Preserve overlooking downtown Newtown.

Eversource workers of every job description diligently worked cutting back invasive vines and trees, clearing and expanding hiking trails, and in general making the preserve more friendly to hikers and visitors. We encourage everybody to visit both the revitalized hiking trails and open field with its 26 newly planted flowering apple trees. Visit the best of Newtown.
