Nancy A.            Bailey

Nancy A. Bailey, 72, wife of the late Percy Bailey of Dayton Street, Sandy Hook, died Sunday, April 17, in Danbury Hospital.

She was born in New Haven, September 25, 1932, daughter of the late Arthur and Nellie (Parson) Luf. Mrs Bailey has been a resident of Sandy Hook many years and was last employed in the cafeteria of the Newtown Head O’ Meadow School.

Mrs Bailey was Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star #103, Sandy Hook. She was a charter member and life member of the Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was a past Queen of Daughters of the Nile Pyremus Temple #82. Mrs Bailey was a member of the Newtown United Methodist Church.

She is survived by four daughters: Ruth Swift and Linda Bailey, both of Sandy Hook, Lois Stewart of Middletown, Sharon Faulkner of Grotto, Va.; one brother, Arthur Luf of Fairfield; one sister, Patricia Jaser of Woodmont; an aunt, Barbara Zinser of Danbury; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs Bailey were held at the Honan Funeral Home Wednesday, April 20, with the Rev Terry Pfeiffer, officiating. Cremation at the convenience of the family.
