Michele Bree Hugyo and Michael Joseph Rivera

The engagement of Michele Bree Hugyo and Michael Joseph Rivera was announced this week.

Ms Hugyo is the daughter of Anne and Mike Hugyo of Waterford, formerly of Stuart Drive in Newtown.

Mr Rivera is the son of Mary Coniglia of New Fairfield and Richard Rivera of Mahwah, N.J.

A graduate of Newtown High School, Class of 1995, Ms Hugyo is also a graduate of Mount Ida College, Newton Center, Mass., where she earned a bachelor of science in graphic design. She is the art director at TriMed Media Group, Providence, R.I. She formerly was employed as a graphic artist at The Newtown Bee.

Mr Rivera is a 1994 graduate of New Fairfield High School. He received a bachelor of science in business administration from Roger Williams University, Bristol, R.I., and is employed as a financial advisor and assistant manager for Morgan Stanley in Middletown, R.I.

A September wedding is planned in Rhode Island.
