Toyota Off The Road

Motorist James Wilkins, 17, of 27 Taunton Lane was driving a 1993 Toyota Camry sedan westward on Mt Pleasant Road about 11:22 pm April 15, when he fell asleep at the wheel, police said.

The Toyota then veered across the eastbound lane of Mt Pleasant Road near the eastern entrance to Tory Lane, police said. The auto knocked down a street sign and then struck several small trees. Wilkins was not injured, police said.

Police issued Wilkins a written warning for failure to drive to the right.
