Don’t Forget To Vote

To the Editor:

We’re writing this letter to encourage all eligible voters in Newtown to vote on the Referendum Budget April 26 from 6 am to 8 pm at the middle school.

No matter how you plan on voting, it is imperative that everyone votes. Don’t think that your vote won’t count.

A lot of effort by a variety of people — elected officials, people in all the town’s various departments, as well as regular citizens — have gone into putting together this budget. April 26 is your chance for you to have input on the shape of Newtown’s future.

Some may think that local referendums are unimportant, but consider this: the budget affects our schools, library, police, ambulance, parks and recreation, zoning, health, and many other services offered here in Newtown.  This is why we all moved to Newtown... because of the quality of life. Let’s all make sure this is maintained. Vote on April 27!
