Brookfield Library To Host Program On Rare Books
Brookfield Library To Host Program On Rare Books
On Monday, May 23, The Friends of The Brookfield Library will sponsor The World of Rare Books with Michael Carroll Dooling of Rare Books & Manuscripts, LLC.
The program will provide an overview of the rare book world. Topics will include the history of printing, first editions, binding types, book terminology, dust jackets, and information about what makes a book collectible.
Attendees may bring a book to be considered, but it may not be selected for discussion. The focus of the program will be on the identification of rare books, rather than providing the value of any particular book.
Register for this free program at the libraryâs checkout desk, or by calling the library at 775-6241.
