Maps And Compasses

DANBURY — Eastern Mountain Sports Danbury, The Outing Club, and United States Orienteering Team will present an “Introduction To Map And Compass” clinic on Saturday, May 7. The clinic will run from 8 am to 3 pm at Tarrywile Park, 70 Southern Boulevard.

The registration due date for the clinic is April 24. The clinic will be led by two-time Orienteering World Champion Pavi Bratiguam.

The course will involve first an introduction to map and compass followed by participation in an actual map and compass event.

The course is limited to the first 24 who sign up. Cost is $30, and proceeds will benefit the US Orienteering Team.
