On Monday, April 18, Newtown Hook & Ladder Company #1 gathered at its future headquarters site on Church Hill Road for a check presentation in the amount of $50,000 to President Rick Camejo.donations@nhlfd.com or find Newtown Hook & Ladder Firehouse Ride on Facebook.

Jim McInerney and Gary Fafard, longtime supporters of the fire company, generously contributed once again to a cause as part of the company's the Mutual Aid fundraising campaign

"Mutual Aid for Upfit" was kicked off last year at Hook & Ladder's sixth annual motorcycle ride and pig roast.

Donors are invited contribute to this campaign in increments of $250 at the bronze, silver, gold and platinum levels. Then, they can choose from four locations in the new firehouse where their respective donations will be applied.

At this time the company is raising money to outfit the kitchen, day room, museum, and the second floor meeting/training room.

In-kind donations are gladly accepted as well.

All donations made in support of the Mutual Aid campaign will be displayed and recognized on custom wooden plaques acknowledging the donors throughout the firehouse.
