Lectures For Young At Heart

At Beardsley Zoo

BRIDGEPORT — Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo isn’t just for the young – it’s also for the young-at-heart. With that in mind, the zoon has started an adult lecture series.

Twice monthly, on Saturdays from 2 to 3 pm, the zoo will host dynamic presentations about important environmental and conservation topics. The first session each month will be conducted by a guest lecturer on a local issue. The second session each month will be conducted by a zoo staff member on a local or global issue.

Presentations are in the Hanson Exploration Station. Admission is free, and the series continues through October.

The next lecture will be on April 22. Lisa Tryon, the director of conservation education and research at the zoo, will present “Zoo Professionals Working in Conservation.”

Additional information is online at BeardsleyZoo.org. The zoo, which is at 1875 Noble Avenue, can also be reached by calling 203-394-6565.
