Gillâs Recent Works At Roxbury Library
ROXBURY â âPaintings and Works on Paper,â an exhibit of new drawings, oil paintings and small bronze sculptures by Bryan Nash Gill, will begin with a reception at Minor Memorial Library, 23 South Street, on Saturday, April 22, from 2 to 4 pm.
The exhibit will continue through Saturday, May 27, during regular library hours: Mondays from noon to 7 pm, Wednesdays from 10 am to 7 pm, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 am to 5 pm, and Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm.
Galleries and museums throughout the country have exhibited Mr Gillâs work in solo and group shows. IBM and The Boston Public Library are among the collections that feature his art.
Writing in Art New England, critic Patricia Rosoff noted, âHis esthetic is New England ⦠with affinities to Henry David Thoreau and Robert Frost.â
The opening reception is free and refreshments will be served. Minor Memorial Library is handicapped-accessible.
