BETHEL - The 2006 4-H Spring Benefit Horse Show will be held Sunday, May 21, at the Cooperative Extension System Grounds on Stony Hill Road in Bethel.
BETHEL â The 2006 4-H Spring Benefit Horse Show will be held Sunday, May 21, at the Cooperative Extension System Grounds on Stony Hill Road in Bethel.
The popular Open Schooling show will offer divisions in English Equitation, Hunt Seat, Western and Trail. Most classes will be pinned through sixth place with the first-place winner also receiving a trophy. Divisions will be awarded champion and reserve champion ribbons.
The lead sponsors of the show are Andersen Windows and Doors, Interstate + Lakeland Lumber, Fairfield County Extension Council, Fairfield Equine, Bit Oâ Tack and Benedictâs Home and Garden.
The high point horse and rider combination from both the Spring Benefit and Fall Nutmeg shows will receive year-end awards in the following divisions: Open Beginner Hunter and Walk/Trot (Sunnybrook Farm in Newtown); Low Hunts (Clearview Farm in Sandy Hook); Kentucky Hunter Classic (All The Kingâs Horses in Ridgefield); and Western Adult Walk/Jog (Happy Trails Farm in Danbury).
Year-end awards will also be available for all Western Junior divisions, Western Adult divisions, Adult Pleasure, Junior Pleasure, Color Horse and Junior Equitation divisions.
Proof of a current rabies vaccination (within on year) will be checked at the gate for each animal.
Refreshments will be available on the grounds. A tag sale featuring jumps will be conducted.
