The University of Connecticut offers horse riding lessons beginning in May. Polo, Hunt Seat, and Western lessons are open to students, adults and children (ages 11 and older). Beginner to advanced levels will be offered. There will be four three-week sessions during the summer. Costs range from $90 to $270 per session.

In addition to riding lessons, UConn will offer Trail Riding for the Intermediate or higher level rider, May 20, 22, 27, 29, June 3 and 5. Riders must be 13 years of age or older. The rider may choose English or Western style. Attendees will ride the UConn trail system and learn best practices trail riding, including how to follow markings.

Lessons will be held in the Horsebarn Hill Arena at UConn in Storrs. The first riding session starts on May 19. Registrants are urged to register quickly, as classes fill fast. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be a maximum of eight riders per lesson.
