Living Wills: Planning For The Future

SOUTHBURY — Certified Elder Law Attorney Julia M. Brown and Brownstein Jewish Family Service will present a free program for the public on Planning for the Future: Living Wills at 1 pm on Wednesday, April 23. It takes place in the library at the Federation, Jewish Communities of Western Connecticut, Inc, 444 Main Street North. Topics to be discussed include:

What are the forms that make up medical directives? (Living Will, Appointment of Health Care Representative)

Does the change in Connecticut law (in 2006 and 2007) effect documents I signed before they were made?

How do I choose my medical decisionmaker?

What do you do with the documents once signed?

I signed forms when I lived in another state;  will Connecticut accept them?

Are my documents ever too old?
