Lawrence S. Saviano, age 52, of Newtown died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 13, at Danbury Hospital. He was the husband of Debra (Sargent) Saviano.

Mr Saviano was born on January 17, 1956, in Norwalk, a son of Hazel (Lewis) Saviano of Westport, and the late John J. Saviano, Sr. He grew up in Westport and attended local schools, graduating from Staples High School in 1974.

Mr Saviano was self employed as a masonry contractor. He will be remembered by all who knew him as generous, always willing to lend a hand, hardworking yet fun loving, and devoted to his family above all.

In addition to his wife and mother, Mr Saviano is survived by his two loving daughters, Melissa and Michelle; and the light of his life, grandson Dylan; three sisters, Marie Richards and her husband, Robert, of Southport, Melinda Bonin and her husband, Glen, of West Hartford, and Cheryl Petrone and her husband, Thomas of Norwalk; a brother, John J. Saviano, Jr, and his wife, Marlene, of Norwalk; an uncle, the Rev Frederick Saviano of Weston, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St Rose of Lima Church in Newtown on April 16. Interment followed in St Rose Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, PO Box 5022, Wallingford CT 06492.
