Fundraiser Will Be A Winner For Newtown
Fundraiser Will Be
A Winner For Newtown
To the Editor:
Mark this date on your calendar: Friday, April 25! I would like to invite Newtown residents and friends to a Wine and Food Tasting Fundraiser from 7 to 10 pm to benefit Canine Advocates on behalf of âA New Pound for Newtownâ and Newtown Underwater Search And Rescue.
In addition to raising funds through ticket sales, there will be a silent auction that will have everything from goods to services. Donations from hair salons, to oil changes for your car; from savings bonds to tutoring, painting your home to spa treatments, dog services to WWE tickets and many, many more; the list is still growing. This evening will be a night to remember â and all net proceeds will go to help these two very worthy organizations.
Mike Kerler, Newtown resident and owner of Sandy Hook Wine & Liquor, is donating all the international and American wines. Tom and Penny Tavar, Newtown residents, have graciously offered the use of their newly renovated facility, Club NewFit, at 23 Commerce Road, for this venue.
Tickets are $35 per person and may be purchased at Sandy Hook Wine & Liquor, The Inn at Newtown, Sandy Hook Hair Company, Newtown Exxon, Newtown Animal Control Center, and Club NewFit. Checks should be made out to Sandy Hook Wine & Liquor.
This event is about âNewtown helping Newtown!â Newtown establishments and Newtown residents are donating silent auction items, the wine and the location. Members of the Independent Party and others are donating their time, talent and labor. No matter what your interests are, this evening is a winner for Newtown!
For more information or a list of our silent auction items, please contact me at ndrandle@charter.net I hope you will attend!Â
